We specialize in providing a custom level of support to second homeowners with our 24/7 Emergency Contact Subscription Plan. We get to know each one of our clients and actively discuss how we can best support their particular home needs
Trust Your Handy Neighbors for all of your emergency guest calls. We not only have the ability to respond quickly to your property, we are usually able to fix or repair many of the issues that initiated the emergency. If the repair is beyond our scope we have a network of local tradesmen (Master Electricians, Licensed HVAC, Master Plumbers, etc) that understand our need for priority service during an emergency when called.

Sarah Brinkmann, Co- Founder
Raised by two engineers from the Colorado School of Mines, Sarah developed a strong foundation in problem-solving and technical precision—skills that now serve her well in caring for homes.
With over 20 years in Grand County, Sarah has a deep connection to the community and a passion for helping homeowners manage their properties remotely. Her career began in the insurance industry, where she owned an agency and specialized in Property & Casualty Insurance for both commercial and personal clients, as well as Life & Health Insurance. Later, she expanded her expertise as an insurance adjuster. However, Sarah discovered her true calling in hands-on property care, where her skills in carpentry, home repair, and remodeling allow her to bring peace of mind to homeowners. She ensures properties are not only well-maintained but also optimized for safety and value.
Sarah’s extensive insurance background provides her with a unique perspective on property care, emphasizing life safety, wildfire hardening, and preserving property value. She takes pride in helping homeowners navigate the challenges of remote property management, ensuring their investments are protected and cared for with meticulous attention to detail.
Rodney Layton, Co-Founder
With over 25 years of construction experience, Rodney brings extensive expertise in renovating and maintaining residential properties. He began his career in Philadelphia, working for various construction companies through out the tristate area. Following his entrepreneurial drive he partnered with a childhood friend to purchase, renovate, sell & rent single family homes in many of Philadelphia's up and coming neighborhoods.
Rodney later became a superintendent, managing subcontractors on diverse projects along the New Jersey shoreline. This role sharpened his ability to oversee complex renovations and ensure top-quality results.
Since relocating to Granby, Colorado, in 2017, Rodney has combined his skills with his passion for mountain living as a co-founder of Your Handy Neighbors. Rodney is committed to providing exceptional care for residential properties, helping homeowners maintain and enhance their investments.
Blu, Loss Prevention
Blu takes his responsibilities of holding down tarps and supervising cargo loading very seriously. He can also be found as the copilot in Rod's plow truck most frosty winter mornings. When Blu's not hard at work, he enjoys taking long walks, chasing laser dots around the yard and snuggling up with his parents. He's a loyal and devoted team member who brings happiness wherever he goes, and his infectious energy is a reminder to all that life is meant to be enjoyed.
